Da Vinci Code

Went to watch the Da Vinci Code last night. Actually a lot better than I was expecting, as the reviews all came out pretty bad. They had changed quite a bit towards the end, but you wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't read the book. I liked how they showed Robert when he was working out the codex key with the 3 dimensional "ghost" of the orb... Overall I thought it was nicely done :)

I hate MDAC

So, today we (well, "I") have managed to kill another terminal server by installing MDAC. Same errors in MTXCLU.DLL. At least as it is our machine and not a customer we can actually investigate the problem and hopefully come up with a fix at last. Any fix will be posted here so check back, database engine fans...

Back at work...

Yesterday was a bank holiday, so no work! Yipee! The "in-laws" came to visit, and we took them to Wisbech, but it was a bit of a wash out in the end as it thundered and was bloody cold, but went back via Crowland to show them the "bridge to nowhere"

Todays trip

So, today the weather looked passable so we went for a drive up into Norfolk. First stop was the "Norfolk Lavender centre". It does exactly what it says on the tin. We did stop in for a cup of tea and I had a rather fab chocolate cake that was more brownie than sponge. The tea wasn't bad either. After looking at some lavender plants (uh...) we continued up the road to Hunstanton. I hadn't been here for some time and Georgie was looking forward to it as she missed out on a trip, but it was something of an anticlimax in the end. We did wander about on the beach a bit, and I collected a few nice pebbles that I might try and do artsy photos of later. But the wind beat us so we left. Back down the road, we stopped off by Sandringham, but we decided to leave the visit for another day. The countryside around that area is very pretty though...
